Stability
and Balance is Control
Creating a stable and
balanced posture while your body is moving towards
the target in an athletic and explosive position is
difficult to do.
If it were easy,
everyone would be pitching in the major leagues.
You may have heard me
talk about it in the past, you develop a delivery
around your current level of fitness.
If your core region
is not strong, it can not support an explosive
delivery. If it can not support the explosive move,
then you will slow down your momentum to maintain
posture and be able to throw the ball where you want
it to go.
We can't pretty a
batter to death. We need to attack!
Change your delivery
by first building a strong and stable core. This
will help you not only throw the ball harder, but
throw it with command.
If you need to know
how to develop a better core region for baseball,
come by the academy and check out our many programs.
You can also look for
our book to be released mid 2005. I am writing a
conditioning book for baseball players with Elite
Personal Trainer Sean Cochran.
Keep working hard!
