How Often Should I Do My Pitching Drills?

Max, I'm very glad to hear that you have watched the DVDs and they are working the program. My goal is to get a companion manual published this summer to help plan the workouts, both in-season and off-season. This email should help give you some insight on how to use the program in-season.

In-season, it is time to maintain what we have gained over the off-season in both strength and mechanics. The goal is to stay sharp and enhance your timing mechanism (a great drill for timing is pitching drill 3 in the DVD.)

Horse Power!

A mom dropped off her son at the academy today for some pitching instruction and conditioning.

She brought along her 4 year old daughter. Her daughter actually wanted to come today to BioForce.

I think she came under false pretenses.

As the mom described the story to me, they live on a few acres just outside of town. They have been talking about getting a horse for some time. The dad is a little against it. A lot of work and responsibility. The mom thinks the kids and the family can handle it.

So, when the mom called to the kids to get in the car to go to BioForce, the young girl eagerly jumped into the car. I think the mom was surprised she was eager to go to BioForce. When asked why she was so excited to go, she said she was ready to buy-a-horse.

Well, we don't have any horses at BioForce and maybe I'll get a toy one for the young girl, but we do help young athletes generate more horse power.

I was talking to a couple of our students today about developing torque, which is rotational power. A lot of our students have been working very hard building the strength and flexibility in their core region to be able to swing the bat quicker and faster as well as throw the ball harder.

Without outstanding rotational strength, flexibility and endurance, your performance will suffer. If you want to improve those aspects of your game, come to BioForce and "buy a little horse-power"!

Look for our newest product very soon for better shoulder and elbow endurance. And core strengthening informational products are not too far down the road.

Until next time, watch where you step, in might be a cow pie....or horse pie for that matter.

Yee-haw!
