What's the
Most Critical Point in a Throwing Delivery?
To control a pitch or
a throw from a position, the release point must be
consistent. Now the release point can change, up and
down depending on your target, but the arm must come
through the same path, throw after throw.
There are many
factors that change that path. Changes in arm path
are related to posture changes as well as the glove
side flying.
At our academy, we
really stress to our students to be aggressive on the
glove side and "stick" that glove as the shoulders
are squaring up. This assures the arm will come
through a consistent path.
More on control next
time.
Keep working hard!
