Clemens
Brushes Back his Son after Son Hits Homerun
Did you hear about
this?
I thought my dad was
mean sometimes growing up. Good thing my dad didn't
have a 94 mph fastball.
Roger Clemens is
working out with the minor league players in the
Astros organization.
His son Koby, was
drafted by the Astros and is in spring training this
year.
Roger’s first pitch
to his son Koby was taken deep off the old man.
Koby’s next at bat,
Roger buzzed his son, sending a signal to the young
ballplayer.
How fun would that
be, to be able to throw to your son?
I’m not talking about
throwing BP like most of us dads have done a million
times, but in real uniforms.
Roger talked about it
later. He said he wanted to change the view of the
ball a little bit.
This brings me to a
bone of contention for me.
You’ve got to throw
inside to hitters.
So many coaches and
players are afraid to let the bat hit the ball they
throw outside 90% of the time.
Don’t try to miss
bats.
Make each pitch have
a purpose.
And don’t let the
batter feel comfortable in the batter’s box. They
shouldn’t be able to predict where the ball is
going.
Keep making it
happen!
