Be a
Student of Pitching!
You’ve probably heard
me beat my drum about not following conventional
wisdom and pitching myths.
I had a great meeting
with Dan, a college pitcher yesterday. In fact, I
think Dan is one of our email tip subscribers.
We were going over
his video analysis and our pitching principles and
he had a lot of great questions for me.
In fact, he even
shared some of his frustrations with his current
coach.
What really impressed
me most about Dan was that he looked to outside
proof to some of the teaches he has received from
his coaches from the past.
Dan said things like,
I was looking at so-and-so’s delivery and he doesn’t
do that with his arm, leg...or whatever, during his
delivery.
Dan is passionate
about finding the answer. Not the holy grail of
pitching, but the answer to his delivery.
Like most pitchers,
he is looking to add a few MPH to his velocity. I
was talking with a few guys at the academy yesterday
and I have yet had anyone call to ask us to take a
few miles per hour off their pitch.
Anyway, the lesson we
should take from this great meeting with Dan
yesterday is that you should look for outside proof
for what folks are teaching you.
We are looking
forward to helping Dan this summer in his quest for
a few more miles per hour on his fastball. Maybe Dan
will be open to sharing his results with us as we
progress in coming months.
If you are looking to
have a more athletic and explosive delivery, take a
look at our new product on the website (
www.bioforcebaseball.com ) “How to Become a More
Explosive, Athletic, & Powerful Pitcher.” This DVD
will show you some of our drills to help you
generate more explosiveness to your delivery. Check
it out!
Keep working hard!
