Another BioForce
Student Commits to Pitch in the Pac-10!
One of my greatest
joys is when any of our students reaches their
potential and grabs the golden ring they have been
after for a long time. That can be making the little
league team, starting on all-stars, playing high
school baseball, or, committing to play for the
college you have dreamed of for a long time.
I can say that one of
our long-time students, Mitchell Lambson, just
grabbed his golden ring a week or so ago.
As long as I can
remember, Mitchell has been wearing the Arizona
State colors when he has been in the academy…and
that’s been about 4 years now. Mitchell is a hard
working left-handed pitcher with very good command
of three pitches.
What is most
gratifying to me is the smile on his face every day
he comes into the academy. The great thing I’ve
noticed is that he is not letting up on his
training. He is working and having fun like never
before.
It hasn’t been
without working very hard. He has worked on his
momentum, he has worked on the drills we use in the
academy (which by the way are on our Explosive and
More Athletic Pitcher DVD’s ) many times a week. He
works on his timing.
Mitchell and his
younger brother Mark, work together a lot away from
the academy. They will typically do about 20 Drill
1’s, 20 Torque Drills, 20 Timing Drills, 20 Drills
from the Stretch, and about 20 Drills from the wind
up with a towel several days a week. That comes to
about 100 drills per session, several days a week.
I believe that is one
of the keys as to why he has reached his dream. The
consistency of the hard work and drills to emphasis
his pitching mechanics. The many repetitions every
week.
This time of the
year, if you aren’t working on your pitching
mechanics several days a week and doing a several
hundred reps a week, you are falling behind some of
the guys who are going after their dream.
Just thought I would
share the great news from one of your BioForce
family!
I got a great
questions from Rob in Massachusetts a couple of days
ago about kids pitching and playing a position. I’ll
address that in an upcoming tips.
I do want to give you
a heads up on a fun project I have been working on
and the announcement of a new product. I’ll be
having a pre-sale within the next day or so. It has
to do about Baseball History. I’m not a history
buff, but I do like learning about baseball and
pitching from the past…and I mean the past. I’ve got
some great buried treasures of stories and history
from inside the game from one of the great pitchers
right after the turn of the century, and I’m not
talking about the year 2000. I’m talking about the
early 1900s.
Yeah, stories about
pitching to Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, and stories of
Mordecai Brown.
Look for the email
coming within a day or two for the pre-release of
this exciting new product.
Until next time, our
congrats to Mitchell and….
Train like a
champion…Mitchell….today!

P.S. If you haven’t
checked out the More Explosive and Athletic Pitcher
DVD, go there now!
